WestLake Dirt Jumps

Bozeman’s Westlake dirt jumps have been a centerpiece of the local biking community for years. They’re a gathering place, a place for riders to push their freestyle skills, and an outdoor space for the neighborhood in the center of the city.

Unfortunately, as Midtown Bozeman has developed, new construction and infrastructure upgrades forced half the features to be destroyed. That’s the bad news.

The good news is we’re rebuilding them—bigger and better than ever. With Integrated Trail Lab leading the project design and construction, we’re hoping to have a fully rebuilt park. The City of Bozeman is on board and has already kicked in a bunch of cash to get the project started, and lead designer Richard Hayes has generously donated the design work.

As of May 18, 2023, we are happy to announce that the City Commission has approved getting the work done. The bidding application process should commence soon, and hopefully a local contractor will be willing and able to get the work done ASAP. We will keep everyone posted as soon as we have any more updates.

As of January 2024, the City had selected a contractor to perform the required infrastructure work. Commence date is currently TBD.

As of August 2024, the civil work has begun on the park property. We are HOPING for jumps to be rebuilt in spring/summer 2025.
