Help Us Out By
Volunteering on Trails
Volunteers put forth a large portion of all trail work being accomplished by SWMMBA. From helping to cut trees off of trails every spring, to raking pebbles off of trails, to complete reroutes of damaged or dangerous trails, our volunteers help make it happen. There are multiple ways to volunteer: at trail work events, at our regular trail work days, and as a member of our Trail Crew quick response team.
Please fill out a waiver prior to attending one of our Trailwork Events or Trail Work-Days. It helps save time, and electronic waivers are easier to fill out.
Trailwork Events
We try to hold at least 3 large volunteer events each year. Generally these include some free food, beautiful scenery, and family-friendly volunteer activities. To learn more about these trail work events, checkout our organizational events calendar. If you would like us to host a large trailwork event at your trail system, get in contact with us here: ed@southwestmontanamba.org.
Trail Work-Days
Trail Work-Days are smaller more focused efforts we try to perform every other week throughout the summer. We focus on some fairly high-use trails in the immediate are and on specific parts of these trails to ensure we get some time to ride our bikes. To participate in a Trail Work-Day soon, fill out the above waiver and check the volunteer job calendar.
