Giving Back This Holiday Season
Generosity gives communities and people the power to make positive change through trails.
Our growing mountain bike community awes us every day. Because of your support as a volunteer, member, or donor of SWMMBA, you are helping make an impact in issues essential to the health and quality of life for people who live here.
This year, even amidst hardships from the pandemic, we celebrate multiple successes. In 2020, we:
Hired our first-ever Trails Manager whose role is to train and organize volunteers across the Greater Yellowstone region.
Officially completed the Copper City Trails Project.
Broke ground on a new flow trail in Bridger Canyon in partnership with Crosscut Mountain Sports Center.
Worked with wilderness, equestrian, and conservation organizations, advocating for the Gallatin Forest Partnership Agreement to ensure specific trails for mountain-bike access for the next 40 years on our regional National Forests.
None of this could happen without supporters like YOU. But the reality is that a growing community means a growing demand on trails and a growing need to take care of our shared outdoor spaces. And we want you to join us in serving the community through trails.
Right now at SWMMBA, we’re gearing up to take care of many regional trails in 2021. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to secure funds for trail initiatives next year. If you’re up for it, you can become a part of this effort by becoming a Dirt Hero.
As a Dirt Hero, you will become part of a special community of mountain bikers who take care of their local trails through small, automated, monthly donations. There are additional benefits that you will receive throughout the year including invite-only BBQs and product/service discounts from our local business partners. To sweeten the deal, you will receive this new hat from our friends over at Tuscola Branding - *while supplies last, for the next 45 Dirt Heroes to sign up.
Our upcoming trail projects are ambitious, and we need your help to get it done. Your support will:
Provide people the access to free community assets like our two town-based bike parks
Take care of over 500 miles of public trail each summer
Maintain the Copper City Trails
Train and organize volunteers
Support the ongoing work of our project partners like the Forest Service and BLM
Clear hundreds of fallen trees each spring, summer, and fall
Groom winter fatbike trail systems
Plan new trail projects to help meet the growing demands on outdoor spaces
Employ staff to organize and support initiatives that serve the community and trails
With your gift of $15, $20, or $50 one-time or monthly you can invest in the trails, community, and place we all love. If you sign up as a Dirt Hero today, you’ll join a special community of dedicated, generous donors who are integral to the success of our mission. Your gift will scale our impact for years to come.
