5 Ways to SWMMBA This Summer

You want to connect with your mountain biking community here in southwest Montana. You want to meet new friends and cheer the sunset from the trailhead. You get out there and live every moment to its fullest in our sweet, sweet, short summer. We hear you, and we’ve got you covered with these five ways to participate with SWMMBA summer:

1. Join on Summer Group Rides

Whether you are a beginner or advanced mountain biker, these rides are designed for all experience levels. Come pedal and make friends with like-minded people in your community. We meet on second and fourth Thursdays each month during the summer at 6pm in the Gallatin Valley Mall parking lot (by Taco Bell) and carpool to the trailhead.

2. Volunteer

Get your hands dirty and meet other volunteers. Trail days take place throughout the summer, keep in the loop by following our online calendar or by following SWMMBA’s Facebook events.

3. Encourage Your Friends to Become a SWMMBA Member

Increasing our membership means that we have greater voice to advocate for mountain bike trails. Remember to let your friends know that membership is now free and they can sign up at www.southwestmontanamba.org/join.

4. Represent

The Mountain Bike Montana license plate, offered through the State of Montana MVD, helps you represent your love of mountain biking roots and this great state while you’re riding in other states. This plate will help you show off that you’re a mountain biker and that you put your car second to only your bike on your drive to work, the trailhead, and even Moab. Above all, this plate lets everyone else know: You’re a Mountain Biker. Pick up your new plate at the MDV today!

5. Become a Dirt Hero
