The Filmed By Bike Festival is here!

After a long, cold winter, we’re ready to break out the bikes and ride. Before we get ahead of ourselves, we’ll scratch that singletrack itch with a night of films, giveaways, and local beer from Bridger Brewing and Map Brewing. In addition to world-class films from across the globe, we’ll be featuring a series of shorts highlighting the trails at Copper City. All ticket-sales proceeds benefit the completion of Phase 3, so come share the stoke and help us wrap up Copper City!

We’ll also have some exciting announcements about membership, upcoming events, and ongoing advocacy efforts, including a presentation on the at-risk riding in the iconic Lionhead area. As the Custer Gallatin undergoes its Forest Plan Revision, mountain bikers could lose access to prized backcountry singletrack.

SWMMBA is hiring!

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be hiring a part-time temporary development manager for the 2019 riding season, roughly May through October. The right candidate will be passionate about SWMMBA’s mission, have experience with nonprofit fundraising, and be versed in organizing community events. Click here for a detailed job description.

Advocacy Update

The fight for access continues as we dig into the Custer Gallatin’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement. There’s a lot to parse through, but suffice it to say, we’re on it! We’re also continuing to support the Gallatin Forest Partnership’s agreement for future management. Take a look at the agreement and add your endorsement today.
